Global Water & Engineering Exhibition

Driving Question: How can we, as members of the international community, positively impact the access and management of potable water?

Exhibit Summary:

During this joint Global Studies & STEM project, the 5/6s became advocates for the access and management of clean, drinkable water. They inquired about water issues locally, nationally, and globally as well as their causes and long-term & short-term effects.

Upon entering our exhibit, we invite you to take in the information on the walls as a way provoke your curiosity and set the stage. Inside the classroom you will learn about water issues such as contamination, scarcity, and failing infrastructure. In addition to viewing PSAs and trifolds aimed at raising awareness, you will also view innovative prototypes as the 5/6s used the Engineering Design Process to design a solution to a self-selected water issue.

Upon exiting our exhibit, we hope you will not only feel informed about global water issues, but inspired to increase awareness of your own personal water usage and reflect on what you appreciate about water.
